The Lifehouse restaurant is located within the historic listed Thorpe Hall Gardens. The restaurant has built a reputation for excellence, serving Italian-Mediterranean cuisine prepared with the finest local seasonal ingredients, when available.
The kitchen is managed by Executive Chef Ugo Simonelli. Ugo has worked for some of the best brands in the world, in countries such as Italy, Switzerland and the USA. Head Chef James Mullenger has worked with Ugo in a number of restaurants over the last 15 years. To meet their high standards of Italian – Mediterranean food quality, the kitchen is largely staffed by Italian chefs.
The relaxed space of the Restaurant is perfect for friends, couples and solo travellers. Bar, Lunch menus or traditional Afternoon Tea’s can be taken in the Bar or on the Sun Terrace.
The kitchen uses ingredients that are fresh, seasonal and sourced from local farm shops, butchers, fishermen and growers based around East Anglia whenever possible. By supporting local suppliers and sustainable sources we are striving to reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment.
Menus are also tailored for vegetarians, vegans and those with special dietary requirements, food allergies and intolerances (please advise in advance for special requirements).
